Dancer, boyfriend sentenced in robbery

An exotic dancer and her boyfriend have been sentenced for their role in the robbery of a Perry man earlier this year in the parking lot of Perkins, 1711 W. 23rd St.

Gary N. Murdock, 30, was sentenced Friday to 53 months in prison after he entered a plea to conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. Allison Habiger, 26, previously was sentenced to two years’ probation after pleading to conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery.

The 21-year-old victim told police he was robbed about 3 a.m. on April 16 after driving to the parking lot to meet Habiger, whom he had met at a strip club in Topeka.

The man’s explanation of the meeting was that he was going to meet Habiger for breakfast.

As he drove into the restaurant parking lot, he spoke to Habiger on his cell phone and described the truck he was driving. When he got out and began walking into the restaurant to meet her, a man later identified as Murdock approached him armed with a knife, robbed him of $112 and warned him not to have any more contact with Habiger, according to a report.

Police later determined Murdock and Habiger had worked together to plot the robbery.
