LHS baseball holds on for 4-2 win
Olathe ? After a wild start, the Lawrence High baseball team settled into a pitcher’s duel with Olathe North. Daniel Green shut out the Eagles after the first inning and led the Lions to a 4-2 victory.
“The best thing about him tonight,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said, “was when he was losing some steam and losing some feel for his breaking balls, he dug down and found a way to win.”
Jordan Guntert took over in the seventh inning and picked up the save with three strikeouts. Marc Albers hit a solo home run for the Lions.
LHS (9-5) will travel Saturday to Shawnee Mission East.
