Law enforcement report

¢ A 25-year-old Lawrence man will face animal cruelty charges after Lawrence Police saw him throw a dog from an apartment balcony.

According to police, on Sunday night a patrol officer driving through the Clinton Place Apartments, 2125 Clinton Parkway, saw a man raise a puppy above his head and throw it to the ground.

Police rescued the dog and took it to the Lawrence Humane Society.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical did not file a report Tuesday.
