Overland Park ? Lawrence High fell short in a sloppy game Tuesday night as Shawnee Mission South claimed a 5-4 victory.

“It wasn’t pretty,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said.

The Raiders scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning, and reliever Jordan Guntert took the loss for the Lions.

Lawrence’s Marc Alberts contributed two RBIs on a double, and Nick Madl went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

The Lions (6-5) will play host Thursday to Olathe East.
