Law enforcement report
¢ Dispatchers in Leavenworth County said they received no major reports of damage Saturday night from the Tonganoxie area after the National Weather Service reported 1-inch hail in the area and that a tornado briefly touched down at 8:05 p.m. about four miles south of Tonganoxie.
The severe weather was part of a system of strong thunderstorms that moved through northeast Kansas on Saturday night, weather service meteorologist Kyle Poage said. Nickel-size hail was reported in Jefferson County, and wind damage was reported about 7:20 p.m. to a trailer and a barn in Grantville.
Nickel-size hail was also reported in Eudora. As of 10 p.m., the Lawrence Municipal Airport had received 0.13 inches of rain.

¢ A Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical crew was able to jar loose a fisherman’s motor boat about 3:45 p.m. Saturday on Clinton Lake after the wind forced the boat into a cove.
