Kansas University’s Collegium Musicum will present a concert titled “Music of the English Renaissance and Baroque” on April 23 at St. John the Evangelist Church.

The Instrumental Collegium Musicum, which includes players of recorders, viols, vielle, lute, Baroque members of the violin family, harpsichord and percussion, is directed by KU professor Paul Laird. The Vocal Collegium Musicum, an ensemble of 16 singers, is directed by Beth Wagstrom, a graduate teaching assistant and doctoral candidate in choral conducting.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at the church, 1229 Vt. It is free and open to the public.
