Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police arrested a 17-year-old boy Sunday evening on suspicion of driving his car toward a 36-year-old woman in the 1600 block of East 18th Street. Police said the boy had been speeding through the neighborhood and that the woman walked into the street to try to tell him to slow down because of children in the neighborhood.

Injury accident

¢ A Linwood man was injured early Tuesday in a wreck two miles east of Lawrence on U.S. Highway 24-40.

Jason M. Schrick, 24, was driving a 1991 Honda west when his car was rear-ended about 7:30 a.m. by a 1999 Chrysler driven by Megan H. Richardson, 39, Lawrence. Schrick's vehicle then rear-ended a third vehicle, a 1998 Pontiac driven by Kari L. Harvey, 22, Tonganoxie.

Schrick was wearing his seat belt but was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. No one else was injured.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Denver woman reported her Gateway laptop computer valued at $2,643 stolen from her vehicle between 7 p.m. March 28 and 7:50 a.m. March 29 in the 2200 block of Naismith Drive.

¢ A Lawrence man reported syringes of Enbrel, a medication used to treat arthritis, stolen March 21 from his trailer in the 1900 block of East 19th Street. The drugs were valued at $1,283.

¢ A 37-year-old man living in the 1800 block of Alabama Street had more than $2,000 worth of property stolen from his home in a burglary between 8 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Sunday. Items stolen included speakers, a stereo and a DVD player.

Emergency calls

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical said there were no fire calls reported Monday.
