Kansas-KSU (gasp!) will be televised

Hold the phone. Stop the presses. Man bites dog.

For the first time in seven years, the Kansas-Kansas State football game will be on live network television.

Big 12 Conference officials announced Monday that the Oct. 8 Sunflower Showdown from KSU Stadium in Manhattan would be televised by Fox Sports Midwest. Kickoff will be at 11 a.m.

The last time a KU-KSU game was on live TV was in 1998, also on Fox Sports Midwest. That game was at Memorial Stadium, and K-State won, 54-6.
