Shawnee ? Lawrence High rolled past Leavenworth, 25-14, 25-14, to salvage the finale of a volleyball quadrangular Thursday night at Shawnee Mission Northwest.

Earlier, the Lions fell to Northwest, 25-14, 20-25, 25-18, and to Overland Park Aquinas, 25-15, 25-8.

“We got better every single time that we played,” LHS coach Molly LaMere said. “Against SM Northwest, we played hard. The last game against Leavenworth, we really showed up.”

Amanda Weishaar had 10 kills and nine digs against Northwest and 10 kills against Leavenworth; Kayla Nolte had 23 assists against Northwest, 19 against Aquinas and 18 against Leavenworth; and Lindsey Lawrence added six kills against Northwest.

The Lions (6-9) will play in a quadrangular Thursday at Shawnee Mission East. The event also will include SM West and Kansas City (Mo.) Pembroke Hill.
