LHS soccer blanked by Olathe East, 8-0

? Olathe East built a six-goal lead in the first half and cruised to an 8-0 high school soccer victory Wednesday night over Lawrence High.

“We did contain them to two goals in the second half, so we did have a better second half after having a very sloppy first half,” LHS coach David Platt said.

Platt said the play of Ignacio Carvajal and Dylan Smith was a bright spot for Lawrence.

The Lions (1-2) will entertain Olathe North at 7 tonight at the Youth Sports Inc. fields.
