Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A 20-year-old Kansas University student reported $1,840 in items, including a Sony PlayStation and DVDs, stolen between Friday and Sunday from his apartment in the 2500 block of West Sixth Street.

¢ A 21-year-old Haskell Indian Nations University student reported a $12,000 Nissan Altima stolen Saturday morning from the 2400 block of Louisiana Street. It was later recovered.

Injury Accidents

¢ A Tonganoxie man sustained minor injuries after his pickup truck overturned Tuesday morning near the West Lawrence exit on Interstate 70.

Philip C. Williams, 56, refused medical treatment for a cut on his ear and shoulder pain after his Ford truck rolled and landed upright at 9:55 a.m., according to a report from the Kansas Turnpike Authority. The report said Williams was traveling too fast for the rainy conditions.

¢ A Leavenworth man was injured Tuesday evening when he lost control of his truck on a gravel road on 219th Street in western Leavenworth County.

Everett L Sedgwick, 61, tried to miss a washboard on the gravel when his 1983 Ford pickup then rolled over, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Sedgwick was transported to Cushing Memorial Hospital in Leavenworth. A hospital official said he was no longer listed as a patient.
