Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police arrested a 23-year-old Kansas University student about 2 a.m. Sunday morning after finding him running naked near the drive-through of Taco John’s, 1626 W. 23rd St. He was booked into jail and ordered to appear Sept. 28 in municipal court.

¢ Police arrested a 20-year-old Lawrence man early Saturday morning on suspicion of trying to barge into an apartment at Trailridge Apartments, 2500 W. Sixth St., and touching a female resident inappropriately. Police believed he was under the influence of alcohol.

Injury accidents

¢ A bicyclist suffered injuries Friday in a hit-and-run wreck at 10th and Vermont Streets. According to a police report, the cyclist, Chetan Michie, 20, was riding east on 10th Street about 1 p.m. and was struck by a northbound Oldsmobile with an unidentified driver. Michie was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and later released.

¢ A 73-year-old woman went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment Friday after striking two parked cars within two minutes.

Jeanne A. Mortenson, 73, Cherokee, Iowa, was driving a Toyota Camry east on Goldfield Street about 8:45 p.m. when she struck a parked Jeep Cherokee. Two minutes later, she was going east on Eighth Street near Sturbridge Court when she struck a parked Plymouth Breeze.

Mortenson remained at LMH Monday and was listed in good condition.
