Lawrence Police said Tuesday that between Friday and Monday they handled:

¢ 1,135 calls

¢ 136 reports

¢ eight burglaries

¢ 12 thefts

¢ 20 noninjury accidents

¢ one injury accident

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Kansas University student reported more than $20,000 in property, including $11,138 in clothing, $2,134 in shoes and $2,086 in purses, stolen between May 20 and Aug. 13 from her home in the 4100 block of West 24th Street.

¢ Someone vandalized and stole items from The Crossing, 618 W. 12th St., causing $1,078 in damage. The damage was discovered Saturday morning, according to a report. Items taken included neon lights.
