Senior Matt Riley finished seventh out of 74 finishers with a time of 17 minutes, 35 seconds to lead the Lawrence High boys cross country team to a second-place finish Saturday at the Manhattan High Invitational. A pair of Riley’s teammates finished back-to-back to join him in the top 20. Sophomore Dylan Hedges was 11th in a time of 17:50, while senior Kyle Morgison took 12th in 17:57.

The best local individual result came in the girls race, as Lawrence sophomore Kelly Renfro clocked 12:45 to finish fourth and lead the Lions to a fourth-place team finish.
