Gardner ? A 51-year-old factory worker was apparently crushed to death Wednesday after becoming entangled in machinery.

The victim was identified as John Frisbey, of Olathe, a 19-year veteran of Kerry Sweet Ingredients at the New Century Business Park. He was believed to have gotten caught in a conveyor-belt-type machine, said Johnson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tom Erickson.

Erickson said he was not sure what type of work Frisbey did or how the accident happened.

Authorities were interviewing other workers at the company who witnessed the accident.
