Injury Accidents

¢ A dispatcher said that a bicyclist was involved in an accident at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Kasold Drive and Scioto Place. One person was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Additional information was unavailable.

¢ Three people were injured Tuesday after a two-vehicle accident in Leavenworth County.

According to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s office, at 12:15 p.m., a vehicle, driven by Benjamin S. Alexander, 16, Bonner Springs, crossed the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 24-40 to get to 166th Street.

The vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to a vehicle driven by Russell Rye, 17, of Kansas City, Mo. Rye was headed eastbound on U.S. 24-40.

Alexander and his two passengers, Cody Phillips. 16, Bonner Springs, and Josh Jones, 16, Linwood, were transported to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. A hospital official said Wednesday that all three were no longer listed as patients.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A 1993 Chevrolet Lumina was taken Monday afternoon from the 100 block of North Michigan. A 31-year-old woman filed a report with Lawrence Police. The car and its contents were valued at $3,400.

¢ A Ford Mustang was damaged when it was scratched by vandals. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 20 and Oct. 1, according to a Lawrence Police report. The car was parked in the 3300 block of Iowa at the time. A 29-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident to police on Oct. 24.
