¢ An 89-year-old Lawrence man was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision at 21st and Louisiana streets. Lawrence G. Holuba was trying to turn south from 21st Street onto Louisiana Street about 9:15 a.m. when his Honda Civic struck an eastbound Mazda sedan driven by Francis J. Larcher, 51, Lawrence.

Holuba was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

¢ Two people were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after two vehicles collided at the intersection of U.S. Highways 56 and 59 west of Baldwin.

Pauline J. Love, 94, Topeka, was the driver of a 2005 Toyota Corolla that was eastbound on U.S. 56 when it pulled in front of a southbound 1997 Dodge truck driven by Lynn D. Votaw, 48, Ottawa, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Love and a passenger in her car, Marian C. Cutler, 88, Topeka were taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Cutler was in fair condition late Tuesday night. Love was transferred to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. Her condition was unavailable.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A 30-year-old man reported $1,100 worth of promotional beer merchandise including 30 inflatable Corona beer bottles, 20 Corona banners and 40 Corona T-shirts stolen between 9 a.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday from a vehicle parked outside his home in the 700 block of Maine Street. The items belonged to Standard Beverage Corp., a liquor distributor.
