LHS soccer tumbles to Olathe South

? Olathe South broke open a close game with seven goals in the final 20 minutes for an 8-0 soccer victory Tuesday night against Lawrence High.

The Lions trailed just 1-0 with 20 minutes remaining.

“We had a little bit of a miscue, and the floodgates opened,” LHS coach David Platt said. “The first half was the best half of soccer we’ve played all year. The second half was some of the worst soccer we’ve played all year.”

Platt cited the play of Daniel Parker.

The Lions (1-13) will play Shawnee Mission South at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Youth Sports Inc. field.
