The Kansas Alpha chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Kansas University won six awards at the international Phi Delta Theta convention held July 30 through Aug. 2 in Oxford, Ohio.

Charlie Bengtson, Wichita sophomore; Adam Krause, Overland Park junior; and Kirk Smith, Frisco, Texas, sophomore, represented the chapter at the convention.

The Kansas Alpha chapter won a General Headquarters Trophy, a Gold Star Award, the Lubbock Trophy, the Community Service Citation, the Best Interior Project Award and an honorable mention in the Outstanding Membership Recruitment Program Award category.

The chapter house is located at 1621 Edgehill Road.

Kansas Alpha chapter, founded in 1882, has 121 members. Nick Blasi, of Overland Park, who received a bachelor’s degree in business in spring 2004, is the chapter adviser.
