Campus ministry announces name change
United Methodist Campus Ministry at Kansas University has changed names.
The organization now will be known as Wesley KU, after the founder of the denomination, John Wesley.
The Rev. Gayla Rapp, campus minister, said the former name and its acronym, UMCM, was too close to acronyms for the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Kansas Medical Center.
