Law enforcement report

¢ A Lawrence woman bit a police officer’s thumb while resisting arrest in the 2200 block of Silicon Avenue Saturday afternoon, Police Sgt. Paul Fellers said.

An employee at Vanderbilt’s, 1518 E. 23rd St., directed officers at 4:36 p.m. to a vehicle leaving the store’s parking lot after a possible forgery was committed in the store, Fellers said.

After officers spoke with the woman in the car, they attempted to arrest her. She resisted until she was eventually placed under arrest, Fellers said.

Jail records show the 38-year-old woman was booked at 6:54 p.m. into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of battering a law enforcement officer, obstructing the legal process, possession of stolen property, three county of forgery and other charges.

¢ An unknown man was seen peeping into a bathroom window at 12:12 a.m. Wednesday at Gertrude Sellards Pearson Hall. When residence hall staff confronted the man, he fled from the area, according to the Kansas University Public Safety Office.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A student reported that someone took a laptop computer between 2:15 p.m. and 2:22 p.m. on Monday at Kansas University, according to the KU Public Safety Office. The loss is valued at $1,000.
