¢ Police arrested a 49-year-old Lawrence man early Friday morning on suspicion of lewd and lascivious behavior. Police said a 51-year-old woman awoke about 5 a.m. in her central Lawrence home, saw the man outside her window and called police. Officers arrived and saw the man behind the home, and he was arrested after trying to flee on foot.

¢ Police are investigating a false bomb threat made early Thursday morning at The Granada. The threat was made by phone at 1:27 a.m. to emergency dispatchers. The building was evacuated and no bomb was found. Employees told police they believe it may have been called in by a male who had been kicked out of the club minutes before.

¢ Acting on a tip, Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies found two parking meters belonging to the city of Lawrence. The meters were found shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday in a creek near the 1200 block of East 1150 Road. Only one of the meters could be recovered because the other was in the middle of the creek, said Lt. Kari Wempe, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.

The sheriff’s office turned the meters over to the Lawrence Police Department. City officials have reported meters stolen several times in the past few years.
