LHS baseball loses, 9-6
Olathe ? Olathe East spotted Lawrence High three runs in the first inning, then came back for a 9-6 high school baseball victory Tuesday.
After falling behind 3-0, O-East scored three times in the bottom of the first, once in the second and twice in the third.
“We played very well, and we just ran into a team that had a little more timely hitting than we did,” Lawrence High coach Brad Stoll said. “When we needed a big hit, we didn’t get it, but we hit the ball well. We just played a very good team.”
Marc Albers went 2-for-4 with a home run for LHS.
The Lions (8-11) will play host to Free State at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Ice Field.
