Emporia ? Lawrence High was perfect against Topeka Highland Park at the Emporia boys tennis tournament Tuesday, but was hit-and-miss against the rest of the field.

“It was a good start to the season,” LHS coach Dick Wedel said. “Twelve guys each played three matches, and most of them got medals. Hardware is good.”

In doubles, Rahul Gogineni and Gardner Burg claimed second place, going 2-1; Noah Welch and Sam Goodell (2-1) took third.
