Lawrence High students, alumni and friends are invited to attend a pep assembly at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday in the LHS gym.

The assembly will serve as a sendoff for the boys basketball team that will play Wichita East in the Class 6A state tournament. The game in Emporia’s White Auditorium will tipoff at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Also at the assembly, the LHS bowling team that won the state championship last weekend in Wichita will be feted.
