Injury Accidents
¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man was taken by air ambulance Thursday to University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., after his motor bike hit a truck.
Michael Lawrence was riding the vehicle east on 13th Street around 4:39 p.m. He hit a Ford Ranger driven by Darin Nolan, 33, Lawrence, in the intersection of 13th and Ohio streets.
Police were still investigating the cause of the accident Thursday night, but authorities had downgraded the severity of Lawrence’s injuries to nonlife- threatening.
¢ Gage Korobka, 20, Lawrence, was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Wednesday after he rearended a car on Sixth Street east of Wakarusa Drive. Korobka caused a chain reaction, forcing the car he hit to rearend the car in front of it. He was treated and released from the hospital.
