¢ Two people were taken to University of Kansas Hospital Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle wreck at U.S. Highway 24-40 and 166th Street in Leavenworth County.

Michael R. Covey, 28, was driving a 1997 Dodge south on 166th Street about 6:58 a.m. when he failed to yield to an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Michelle L. Stallard, 40, Oskaloosa, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Both were wearing seatbelts. Both were treated and released from the hospital, a nursing supervisor said

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Someone stole golf clubs and a golf bag valued at $1,200 from the 4500 block of Grove Drive. The theft happened between 2 a.m. July 11 and 2 p.m. Sunday.

¢ A 27-year-old Lawrence man reported $1,350 in property, including a $900 television, stolen between 4 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday from his home in the 2100 block of Quail Creek Drive.

¢ Someone stole a 1998 Yamaha motorcycle valued at $3,000 from Kansas University Parking Lot #104. The theft happened between 1:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

¢ Olathe police have recovered more than $5,000 in equipment stolen during the weekend from a Eudora police cruiser that had been parked at Jim Clark Motors, 2121 W. 29th St. Terr. Items stolen from the cruiser were a Motorola MCS radio, a scanner and a tuning fork used to test radar guns.
