University
Haskell to undergo accreditation evaluation
Haskell Indian Nations University is set undergo a comprehensive continuing accreditation evaluation site visit starting today and continuing through Wednesday. A team from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools will conduct the evaluation.
In preparation for the accreditation visit, Haskell completed an 18-month self-study process and produced a report that addressed the commission’s requirements and criteria for accreditation. As part of the visit, the evaluation team will gather evidence that the self-study is thorough and accurate. After the visit, the team will make a recommendation to the commission, which will make the final determination on Haskell’s status in August.
Haskell has been accredited by the association since 1979 with authority to grant baccalaureate degrees in elementary education since 1993, and American Indian studies, business administration and environmental studies since 1998.
