¢ Eudora Police arrested a 33-year-old Eudora woman late Sunday or early Monday morning on suspicion of criminal discharge of a firearm, making a criminal threat and battery on a law-enforcement officer. She was booked into jail about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
¢ Lawrence Police arrested a 47-year-old Lawrence man late Sunday or early Monday on suspicion of rape, aggravated assault, criminal restraint and battery. He was booked into jail Monday afternoon.
Injury accidents
¢ A 21-year-old Lawrence woman was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital early Saturday after being rear-ended by a hit-and-run driver. Tracy L. Gabel was in a 1997 Honda Civic stopped at a light on northbound Kentucky Street at Ninth Street at 12:48 a.m. when an unidentified driver struck the car from behind.
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Police arrested an 82-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man Friday night on suspicion of prying open two soft-drink machines at Econolodge, 2222 W. Sixth St.
¢ Someone stole $8,580 in property, including a $3,300 riding mower and $4,000 in auto rims and tires, from a storage shed at Wendland Performance Services, 2103 W. 26th St. The theft happened between Nov. 25 and Saturday.
