Lawrence Police said Friday that in the past 24 hours they handled:

¢ 293 calls

¢ 36 reports

¢ four burglaries

¢ four thefts

¢ 10 non-injury accidents

Injury Accident

¢ One person was transported to the hospital after an accident involving a bicycle at 23rd and Massachusetts streets.

Emergency workers told dispatchers about 10:15 p.m. that the individual’s injuries were not serious, and the individual taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital was alert and conscious. Additional information was unavailable.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Someone stole items including a laptop computer, a computer case and a roll of stamps from the dental office of Shelly McColm, 12 W. Eighth St. The items, valued at more than $1,400 total, disappeared between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday.

¢ A 57-year-old Lawrence man reported his 1994 Jeep Wrangler worth $3,500 stolen between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday from the 1700 block of Ohio Street.

¢ Club 508, 508 Locust St., reported $2,620 in currency stolen between midnight Dec. 7 and noon Dec. 8.
