Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a total of $3,500 worth of forged U.S. Postal Service money orders received by Central National Bank, 711 Wakarusa Drive. The bank called police Thursday.
¢ A total of four tires were damaged in a vandalism incident that occurred sometime Friday or Saturday in the 2700 block of Rawhide Lane. The incident was reported by a 34-year-old Lawrence man. Losses were listed at $1,200.
¢ A total of 400 compact disks, two CD cases and a power drill were taken in an Aug. 22 burglary in the 1500 block of Wedgewood Drive. A 23-year-old Lawrence man called police. Losses amounted to $2,060.
¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported to police that $6,000 was missing from his residence in the 1100 block of Louisiana Street. The money disappeared sometime last week.
