Injury Accidents

¢ A crash Friday afternoon on Kansas Highway 4 near the Shawnee-Jefferson County line injured a Valley Falls teen and a Holton woman, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Dominic A. Harrington, 19, Valley Falls, stopped his 2001 Ford and waited for an oncoming vehicle to turn left. Acacia L. Luckeroth, 27, Holton, followed Harrington. Luckeroth moved to the right shoulder to escape a collision with a vehicle approaching from behind.

A 1998 Ford van, driven by Joshua J. Shrewsbury, 19, Meriden, then rear-ended Harrington’s car and also hit the side of Luckeroth’s vehicle, the KHP said.

Shrewsbury was uninjured. Medical authorities transported Harrington and Luckeroth to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. A hospital official said both were treated and released.
