Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

¢ Heat from circuit, wiring defective or worn, 7:01 p.m. Thursday, 1119 W. 27th St.
¢ Authorized controlled burning, 1:04 p.m. Thursday, 203 Interstate 70.

Stray dogs brought to shelter
Black Lab, neutered male, 3-5 years old.
Chow-Lab mix, male, 1 year old.
