Law enforcement report

Lawrence Police said Tuesday that in the past 24 hours, they handled:

¢ 228 calls

¢ 39 reports

¢ five burglaries

¢ four thefts

¢10 non-injury accidents

¢ two injury accidents

¢ Lawrence Police Sgt. Craig Shanks said that officers responded at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to a mobile home park in the 2200 block of Harper St. Residents reported being threatened by two individuals who possessed a samurai sword.

Shanks said that while no one was injured in the altercation, officers arrested two from Lawrence suspected of making threats and other charges. Shanks also confirmed that officers recovered a sword.

¢ Lawrence Police Sgt. Craig Shanks said at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday that officers received a call of a possible residential burglary near 6th Street and Eldridge Lane. The resident told officers that a white male - 6-feet tall, wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt and a ski mask - fled after being spotted inside the residence. Officers had not determined whether anything was taken from the home, Shanks said.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A man reported to police Wednesday from the 500 block of Sierra that sometime between 2:30 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, someone had stolen his 1991 light blue Cadillac Deville. A report on the incident said the car was valued at $2,500.
