Lawrence Police said Friday that in the past 24 hours they handled:
¢ 322 calls
¢ 38 reports
¢ two burglaries
¢ 13 non-injury accidents
¢ five injury accidents
Injury Accidents
¢ Two Tonganoxie teens were taken to the hospital after an afternoon wreck on Tonganoxie's Main Street. Joanna Frevele, 17, made a left turn off Main going westbound on U.S. Highway 24-40, but as she turned, Frevele's 1996 Toyota Camry collided with a 1994 Jeep, driven by Shannon Smith, 16, Tonganoxie, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Smith and her passenger, Sarah L. Smith, Tonganoxie, were uninjured. Frevele was transported with an injury to Providence Hospital in Leavenworth. Her passenger, 16-year-old Christina Wells, Tonganoxie, was transported with a possible injury.

more tonganoxie teens getting in wrecks. they must have a great drivers ed program. and they've all been 16..... anything weird about that to anyone else? Maybe they should raise the driving age.
