Injury accident

A Kansas City, Mo., woman was in fair condition late Sunday night at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after she was injured in a traffic accident at the Baldwin Junction.

Ona Adams, 86, was a passenger in a 2000 Buick when it struck a pickup truck at the intersection of U.S. Highways 59 and 56 west of Baldwin, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The Buick, driven by Marjorie Binkely, 85, Osawatomie, was northbound on Highway 59 when the accident occurred about 2:10 p.m. The Buick struck a 2002 Dodge pickup truck that was eastbound on Highway 56 and failed to yield to traffic on Highway 59, the Highway Patrol report said.

The driver of the Dodge was identified in the report as Chad C. Obryhim, 18, Overbrook,

Adams was the only person taken to the hospital.
