Injury Accidents
¢ A Lawrence woman sustained minor injuries when her vehicle hydroplaned and spun into a ditch Friday morning near the Lecompton-Lawrence Interstate 70 exit. Whitney A. Coupe, 34, was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after her 2003 Toyota Carolla spun off the road. A nursing supervisor said Friday evening that Coupe had been treated and released.
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ Lawrence police reported that items belonging to three 21-year-old women were stolen between 4:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday from a home in the 800 block of Crestline Drive. Items taken include $500 cash, a cell phone and makeup. The total value of items stolen was listed at $1,246.
¢ A 32-year-old Lawrence man reported $1,747 in power tools stolen between 10 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday from his home in the 2600 block of Moundview Drive.
¢ A 22-year-old Kansas University student reported that someone broke the passenger window of his vehicle and stole $800 in compact discs and a $150 radar detector. It happened between 1 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of Harvard Road.
