Lawrence Police said Tuesday that during the weekend they handled:

¢ An 18-year-old Lawrence woman told police her 50-year-old employer touched her inappropriately between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Sunday at her workplace in East Lawrence. Police spoke with the man and have sent reports to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A 24-year-old Ogden woman told police someone stole her purse containing $1,108 cash late Sunday while she was at the Westminster Inn, 2525 W. Sixth St. She told police she was there with a friend and met a group of people in the parking lot. She suspects one of the people of grabbing her purse and walking out of the room, according to a report.

Injury accident

A Mayetta man was injured Tuesday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on U.S. Highway 24 about 4 miles northwest of Lawrence.

Kent A. Wood, 44, was taken by helicopter ambulance to University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol report. No information about Wood was available from the hospital.

Wood, driving a 2002 Yamaha eastbound on U.S. 24, approached another vehicle but then couldn’t pass it, the report said. Wood applied the brakes and ended up putting the motorcycle on its side. He was not wearing a helmet.
