Overland Park ? The Lawrence High girls cross country squad finished fifth in the 11-team Aquinas Invitational on Saturday.

Kelly Renfro was the top Lions placer, finishing 14th after a time of 13:03.7. Megan Johnson was right behind in 16th place after running a time of 13:11.7. Alison Greer placed 28th in 13:26.9.

The LHS boys finished in eighth place at the Invitational. Matt Riley led the Lions with a 30th-place finish in a time of 18:01.7. Kyle Morgison (18:04.3) placed 32nd, and Jacob Kucza (18:11.5) placed 34th.
