Lawrence High will start the winter sports season at 6 tonight with Pack the House. The annual event will feature skits, scrimmages and introductions of the winter sports teams.

Fans can donate canned goods or cash for admission. Cash donations will benefit Lawrence High sophomore Sarah Gudenkauf, who is in a Minnesota hospital for a bone-marrow transplant.

Across town, Free State will have its Raise the Roof event at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Admission is $1 and will benefit Habitat for Humanity. FSHS raised $1,100 for Habitat last year.
