Bicycle racks are next to practically every building on Kansas University’s campus.

Students do not need a permit for their bicycle, but KU parking department officials recommend students register bikes with the Lawrence Police Department.

Registration is 25 cents per year, and is helpful to police your bike is stolen anywhere in the city, including on campus.

Mopeds can also park in bicycle racks, but unlike bicycles they do require a parking permit. This permit costs $25 annually.
