Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A Chevrolet Tahoe sustained damage to a driver’s-side door in a vandalism incident reported Thursday to Lawrence Police by a 23-year-old Lawrence man. The incident occurred Thursday night in the 800 block of Locust Street. Damage was listed at $1,500.
  • A windshield on a Honda Accord was damaged and a compact disc player was removed sometime Saturday, a 21-year-old Lawrence man reported to police. The car had been parked in the 300 block of Homestead Drive. Damage and losses were $1,100.
  • A 1999 Isuzu Rodeo four-wheel drive sport utility vehicle was taken during the early morning hours Thursday from the 1300 block of Ohio Street. The theft was reported by a 20-year-old Lawrence woman. The vehicle was valued at $12,000.
  • A laptop computer valued at $3,000 was taken Sunday from the 2900 block of West Sixth Street. A 22-year-old Lecompton man reported the incident.
  • Police are investigating what they think is an employee theft of $520 worth of Kansas Keno lottery tickets from Presta 66 convenience store, 602 W. Ninth St. The incident occurred between Jan. 2 and Jan. 13, when it was reported to police.
  • The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a pop-up camper trailer belonging to a 53-year-old Lawrence man. The camper was last seen in June 2003 in a storage area in the 1400 section of East 900 Road. The camper was valued at $2,500.
