Injury Accidents
- A Council Bluffs, Iowa, man was hospitalized late Wednesday after a three tractor-trailer accident south of Ottawa on Highway 135.
Kim Richter, 50, was injured after a set of dual tires came off a southbound tractor-trailer. The wheels rolled into the northbound lane, where they struck Richter’s truck. Richter’s vehicle entered the median and struck an embankment. Debris from the dual tire struck another southbound tractor-trailer, which pulled over to the side of the road. Neither the driver of that vehicle nor the driver of the truck which lost the dual tire were injured.
Richter was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa.
