History on waterways

Members of the Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, Mo., speak to students from a keelboat docked next to a barge in Covington, Ky. The men are official re-enactors of the national 2003-2006 Lewis & Clark bicentennial commemoration and will retrace the entire waterway portion of the original 1803-1806 expedition. The keelboat is 55 feet long, and the pirogue docked to the right is 39 feet long.
