Baker soccer ousted from NAIA regional

Lamoni, Iowa — Graceland eliminated Baker, 2-1, Monday in the first round of the NAIA Region Five soccer playoffs.

Eugenia Rogers scored for Baker in the first half with an assist from Erin Blinzler, and the match was tied at 1 at intermission. The Wildcats finished 9-7-0.

Lions’ Polk to sign

Lawrence High senior Josie Polk will sign a basketball letter of intent Wednesday with Fairleigh Dickinson University. Polk averaged 17 points a game to lead the 15-8 Lions in scoring as a junior. Fairleigh Dickinson is in Teaneck, N.J.
