KU counselors to visit high schools

High school students who want to learn more about Kansas University will get their chance next month.

Throughout February, counselors from KU’s Office of Admissions and Scholarships will visit high schools in 40 of the 105 Kansas counties and also pay a visit to the Archie, Mo., high school.

Admissions counselors making the trips will include those with backgrounds in biology, sports management, journalism, communications and English.

Lawrence High School will be visited at 3:05 p.m. Feb. 11. Counselors will be at Free State High School at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 12.

High schools in Eudora, Baldwin, DeSoto, Basehor, Oskaloosa and Tonganoxie will also be visited.

Other towns on the schedule include Andale, Andover, Belle Plaine, Beloit, Bonner Springs, Buhler, Chanute, Coffeyville, Colby, Concordia, Derby, Dodge City, Easton, Ellis, Emporia, Garden City, Goddard, Goodland, Great Bend, Hanover, Hays, Herndon, Holton, Hoxie, Hutchinson, Independence, Iola, Junction City, Kansas City, Lansing, Leavenworth, Liberal, Louisburg, Maize, Manhattan, McLouth, McPherson, Minneapolis, Montezuma, Olathe, Osawatomie, Paola, Parsons, Pittsburg, Pomona, Pratt, Rose Hill, Rossville, Salina, St. John, St. Mary’s, Stafford, Stilwell, Washington, Wichita, and Johnson County and Archie, Mo.
