Shawnee Lawrence High softball swept its doubleheader Thursday against Shawnee Mission East, 5-4 and 6-4.
The Lions (2-2) overcame four errors in the first game and five errors in the second game by banging out 18 hits, 11 in the first game.
"I told the girls we're gonna make mistakes, but we really have to work on cutting down mistakes in each game," LHS coach Reenie Stogsdill said. "We're going to make those physical errors, and I can live with that, but we need to get rid of those mental errors."
Sophomore Whitney Juneau earned the win in the first game, while junior Jillian Hill won the second. The Lions play at home against Olathe South Monday at Holcolm Complex.
