Longtime Lawrence High volleyball coach Joan Wells will be inducted into the Kansas State High School Activities Assn. Hall of Fame during halftime of the LHS-Free State boys’ basketball game on Feb. 25. Wells, who coached the Lions for 27 years, winning 15 Class 6A state titles and 865 matches in that span, also will be honored during the LHS winter assembly at 10:30 a.m. on March 5.
