Lawrence High senior Sarah Marlow signed a letter-of-intent on Wednesday to swim at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon.

Marlow, who placed third in the Class 6A state meet last year in the 500 freestyle, is primarily a distance swimmer, but LHS coach Ryan Adams said she’s an athlete that can swim just about anything.

“She’s been a state qualifier the last three years, and she’s always done real well,” he said. “She’s definitely going to be one of our leaders this year.”

Marlow also placed third in the 500 free and 100 breaststroke at the Sunflower League Meet last spring.
