Thomas the Tank Engine on track for Baldwin

Fans of Thomas the Tank Engine will be able to see the train this June in Baldwin.

During Day Out With Thomas, young engineers can join Sir Topham Hatt on classic coaches for a 25-minute ride that includes storytellers, clowns, food and hands-on activities. The train will make 12 trips each day, and will be at Baldwin’s Midland Railway station on June 6, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16.

The Day Out With Thomas has been an annual event since 1996. This year, organizers expect 1.2 million visitors during 55 stops in the United States.

Tickets are available at Gifts & Accents, Metcalf South Center, 9605 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, at $14 plus $1.50 per order for handling. Children under a year old are free. Tickets are nonrefundable.
